Who I am
This site is run by Phil Rogers, trading as PMR Insights, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. I decide how your personal information is used, which makes me the "data controller" under UK data protection law.
You can contact me at phil@pmrinsights.com.
What I collect, and when
- Using the scorecard. Nothing is collected while you move the sliders. Your scores stay in your browser until you choose to submit the form.
- Asking for the guide. Your email address, your role, the size of your presales team, your scorecard total and your seven individual pillar scores.
- Emailing me or booking a presales review. Your name, email address and anything you choose to tell me, including any answers you give when booking through Calendly.
- Technical data. My hosting provider records your IP address in its server logs. The site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when a page loads. The site does not use advertising cookies or analytics.
Why I use it, and my legal basis
- To send you the guide and a short series of emails about running presales. Basis: your consent, which you give by submitting the form and confirming your email address. I use your role, team size and score to send you relevant emails. You can withdraw consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email.
- To understand how presales functions score, and to publish benchmarks. Basis: my legitimate interest in building useful research. I only use or publish results combined across many respondents, and published results never identify you or your organisation.
- To reply to your enquiry or prepare for a review you asked for. Basis: my legitimate interest in running my business and answering you, and taking steps at your request before a contract.
I do not sell your information. I do not make automated decisions about you. The scorecard result is a self-assessment shown back to you.
Who else handles your information
I use these providers to run the site. Each acts on my instructions.
- Kit, for email sign-ups and sending emails
- Netlify, for website hosting
- Google Workspace, for my business email
- Calendly, for booking presales reviews
Some of these providers process information outside the UK, including in the United States. They rely on legal safeguards for those transfers, such as the UK's approved transfer mechanisms.
How long I keep it
- Email list details and scores: until you unsubscribe. I then keep your address on a suppression list so I do not email you again. Scores that have been combined into anonymous benchmarks may be kept.
- Enquiries and review requests: up to 12 months after our last contact, unless we work together.
Your rights
You can ask me to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict how I use it, or move it to another provider. You can object to my use of it, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email me at the address above and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. I would like the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this notice
If I change how I use your information, for example when I start selling products or add analytics, I will update this page and the date at the top.
